What are the entry requirements?

How will I know if my application has been received?

  • You will receive an automated response if you apply online and by email or post.

What is the deadline for receipt of application?

  • Closing date for applications is September 2026

When do I receive notification of acceptance?

  • Conditional offers will be made following applications.

What are the fees and how do I pay?

How do I apply for the grant?

When is my grant paid?

  • If the grant application is processed, the 1st installment is usually paid by the end of October.

When do I register?

  • Registration takes place in late August and you will be notified by post/email.

I want to change my details. What do I do?

Letters of registration/attendance

  • Letters of registration / attendance will be issued during the month of September subject to full attendance on course. There is a 10 working day return on letters.

Stamping of social welfare/medical forms

  • Forms requiring the official City of Dublin FET College Plunket stamp will be processed in September subject to full attendance on course.  There is a 10 working day return on letters.

Where can I find out about Policies and Procedures

  • City of Dublin FET College Plunket Policies and Procedures are available for access by enrolled students on Student Teams.

What is the English language entry requirement?

  • Applicants must have a standard of English (CEFR B2 or equivalent) for entry to any Post Leaving Certificate or Pre Apprenticeship Course.  Applicants must have a good standard of English for entry to Level 3 and 4 courses.  The English language proficiency of the applicant whose native language is not English will be determined by a relevant assessment carried out by City of Dublin FET College Plunket as part of registration.
