Student Council

The student council is a representative body of students within City of Dublin FET College Plunket that serves as a voice for the student body, bringing student perspectives to college management and staff. The council is responsible for gathering student feedback, representing student interests, and advocating on behalf of students on issues that affect their education and college life.

What a student council does

  • Represents student voice: Acts as a link between students, staff, and management by bringing the student perspective to all aspects of school life.
  • Gathers feedback: Class representatives listen to their classmates’ views and ideas and bring them to the council.
  • Communicates: Informs the student body about what the council is doing and reports back on council meetings.
  • Advocates for students: Helps ensure the student body’s needs are met and can advocate for students on various issues.
  • Engages with the College community: Often organizes college and fundraising events and participates in policy development

Student Representatives on Board of Management

Student representatives are elected onto the board of management in the college to represent the views of all students in the management and running of the college.
